We seek to show students what it means to truly be a follower of Christ through a three step plan.

BECOME

First off we give every student a place to BELONG, no matter where they come from, who their friends are, or what value they feel they have; they BELONG here.  They have value to GOD; He loves them without end and so do we.

BELIEVE is our next goal.  We hope that through the example we set that they may come to BELIEVE several things: BELIEVE in GOD the FATHER and His SON JESUS CHRIST, BELIEVE  GOD loved them enough to send JESUS to live a perfect life and to die on a CROSS for all man’s sins, BELIEVE  on the third day after CHRIST’S crucifixion GOD raised him from the dead, and BELIEVE if they will only believe they can spend eternity in heaven.

BECOME is what sets The Body apart from typical American Christianity.  Whereas, typical American Christianity puts salvation as the goal line,  The Body and FBC Harrisonburg teach that salvation is the starting block.  We teach that IF you are SAVED you WILL be CHANGED.  This change will be evident in the way we live our lives, so The Body will show students how to love others through service.
